Paternoster repair

Call out to asess a paternoster breakdown customer reported excessive movement on the bottom shaft, and here is what we found.

After finding this bearing had broke, we the investigated the machine further to see why this bearing had failed the way it had as this is uncommon bearing failure.

Once we found this we contacted the manufactures regarding the mechanical drawing for this machine to determine the appropriate repair for this machine, we have been informed that we will be waiting for Germany to get back to us regarding the parts required to repair this.

So we attached the new bearing and isolated the machine so it can't be used until the machine is safe to be used as the foils on this machine can weigh over 100kg.

Once we have recieved the correct parts we will be back to repair the machine, production was still able to use the press until we repair this due to safe isolation of the defective paternoster.
